How a first-print Marvel NFT comic differs from a later drop

The phrase “first print” travels poorly from paper comics into Marvel NFT comic editions. On paper, a first print often shows in the indicia. On a digital collectible, the same phrase may mean first drop window, first cover treatment, or simply first time that story appeared on a particular platform.

At the Leeds desk we start with the drop language, not the fan nickname. If two editions share interiors and only the outer lockup changed, we describe the later object as a subsequent cover, not as a second printing in the newsstand sense.
