Paper issue cousins in the longbox
A paper cousin is the newsstand or shop copy that a Marvel NFT comic edition visually quotes. The atlas never says the NFT is the paper issue. It says which issue number, which year, and which cover pose were borrowed.
Useful tells include the original indicia-style numbering, the story arc title, and whether a digital recut uses a later trade-dress logo that the paper copy never wore.
Some digital editions combine two paper issues into one collectible. Those maps get an extra row so a Leeds collector does not hunt a single longbox slot that never existed.
Bring the paper issue if you have it. The smell of newsprint does not transfer to the NFT, but the page count still has to be argued on the table.
